The AirPods Pro case is the single most losable object most people own: small, smooth, white, and shaped to slide under things. A cover fixes that in two ways at once — it gives the case a colour you can spot and a loop you can clip to something so it never goes loose in a bag.
The failure to watch for is the hinge. A cover that wraps too far around the back presses on the lid and stops it seating fully, and a case whose lid is a millimetre open does not charge the buds. Covers cut for the exact generation clear the hinge properly; universal ones sold as fitting several generations are the ones that do not.
