iPad Case Size Guide
iPad generations look alike and are not interchangeable. The case is moulded for one specific generation, so check before you order.
Find your generation
Open Settings → General → About and read the Model Name. It will say something like "iPad Air (5th generation)". That is the line you need — not the screen size on its own, because several generations share the same one.

That is 14 generations in total. Where several generations are listed together, the body shape is identical and one case covers all of them.
What the case does
Front and back are both covered, with a thicker build that absorbs a drop rather than passing it on. Buttons, speakers and the charging port stay open. It snaps on and stays put.
